Thanks to the growing popularity of the Harrier, Tata has now launched its scale model. Earlier, the scale model was offered to those who had booked the car at the special events organized by Tata. Some lucky owners also got the scale model for free, along with their Harrier SUV.
But for those who did not want to buy a Harrier, and still wanted the scale model, it was not possible. Until now. Because now Tata has launched the scale model of Harrier, and it is on sale for Rs 3,999. You can book one online, or buy it from a Tata authorized dealership of your choice.
Weighing about 350 grams, this is a 1:20 scale model of the Tata Harrier. It comes in only one colour, which is also the communication colour of the Harrier - Calisto Copper. Speaking about the same, Tata says, "Harrier diecast scale model is made of high quality metal with amazing painting and and detailing, which makes it a true replica of the Harrier.
Ever since its launch in Jan 2019, Harrier has become the best selling car in the segment. Sales of Harrier have been more than that of Jeep Compass as well as Mahindra XUV500. But, Tata Harrier will soon get another rival, in the form of MG Hector, which will launch by 15th June 2019. It is going to be offered with all the options and features, which many probable buyers of Harrier have been asking for. These are - petrol engine, automatic transmission, sunroof, etc.
Post Harrier, Tata Motors, has confirmed a string of new launches for which the company has also announced investments to the tune of $1 billion (Rs.7,000 crores) over the next three years. This investment will be towards the Alpha and Omega platforms. These two platforms will be the basis for 14 new car launches planned over the next 5 years which will also include the Altroz hatchback to be launched by September 2019.
The Omega platform, derived from the D8 architecture from Land Rover, will make its way onto the Harrier will also spawn four other new models which could include MPVs and SUVs. The Alpha platform is new and all upcoming hatchbacks and sedans will be positioned on this platform.
With launch of new models, Tata Motors will also seek an increase in market share with a target of 10 percent over the next 3-5 years. The company also plans improving its sales and service networks and revamp retail chains to offer buyers a more premium experience.
