LEGAZPI CITY, Aug 11 (PIA) - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 5 addressed the concerns of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) 2nd tranche beneficiaries who were removed from the list due to the deduplication result with the Social Security System (SSS) for the Small Business Wage Subsidy (SWBS) program.
The result shows that some beneficiaries already availed the SWBS program, thus they were removed from the list.
According to DSWD Bicol information Mary Gizelle Mesa, several concerns and conditions were cleared and agreed upon in a meeting held between representatives from the DSWD and SSS Legazpi branch acting Head Antonio A. Casimiro.
The delisted beneficiaries were required to get certification from the SSS to prove that they did not receive assistance from the SWBS program, thus are still qualified to receive the P5,000 SAP2 assistance.
"There will be one authorized representative per barangay to submit the request to SSS thru a drop box installed at the guard in the entrance of the agency in their respective branch offices. The request letter will serve as a group authorization of the delisted beneficiaries being required a certification," Mesa said.
The request letter cum authorization should include the following:
1. Complete name of the SSS Member (First Name, Middle Name and Surname, Affixes/Suffixes if applicable) 2.2 Birthdate and SSS Number of the member
2. Authorization of the SSS Member (One authorization letter only signed by all the beneficiaries requesting for certification from the barangay)
3. Name and contact number of the Barangay Representative
4. Photocopy of IDs of the representative and members requesting for certification (In the absence of ID, pro-forma certification from the barangay captain)
"SSS will issue an omnibus certification per barangay request which will indicate whether the particular beneficiary/SSS member is a private sector employee, or a self-paying member, and date of start and end of contribution," Mesa said.
It was further agreed that Casimiro will relay the agreements to Ligao City and Tabaco City branch for them to adopt the same measures to address this growing concern of SAP beneficiaries.
The province of Albay is one of the qualified areas under the Enhanced Community Quarantine status during the announcement of SAP 2nd tranche assistance. Eligible as beneficiaries are qualified families, those who are not beneficiaries of other programs and are on waitlisted and left-out status based on the list submitted by the LGUs to the DSWD. Distribution of the SAP2 assistance in Albay is ongoing. (SAA-PIA5/Albay)
